Resistant starch and its impact on glycemic response

Despite some modern diet plans promoting a lower carbohydrate intake, many nutrition experts continue to stress the importance of carbohydrates in a balanced diet.

Their focus centres on the different types of carbohydrates and their possible physiological effects.

In this article, we discuss glycemic response, the health benefits associated with eating low glycemic response foods and how, by incorporating resistant starch (a low glycemic carbohydrate) into foods, highly palatable, healthy products can be developed for inclusion in the diet.

A new generation of essential fatty acids: freeze dried, emulsified and totally water soluble oil powders
